Cornerstone Equine Rehab LLC is family (Brother/Sister) owned and operated. Providing quality equine salt water spa products and services in the USA.

What does it do?

This treatment is similar to a professional athlete who soaks in an ice bath after training. The goal is to reduce overall inflammation, sooth sore aching tendons and ligaments, improve blood flow, and help eliminate skin irritations. The salt concentration of the spa water mimics that of the Dead Sea, delivering similar healing properties right to your barn door! Recognizing the lower limbs are colder than the rest of the body, once treatment is over, the horse’s body increases circulation to help raise the temperature of the legs. This effect has been noted for up to four hours after treatment.

What’s in the water?

• 200 pounds of Sea salt

• 250 pounds of Epsom salt

• Properly balanced with chlorine for water sanitation

• Chilled to 35 degrees Fahrenheit

What benefit does the salt have?

Epsom salt acts like a poultice in the water helping to draw out inflammation, and toxins while soothing aches and pains. Sea Salt helps keep the water free of any microorganisms, and in turn helps prevent or treat skin irritants as well as many hoof impurities. The two salts combined increase the density of the water, providing greater osmotic pressure around their legs increasing equal compression. This further helps to reduce inflammation.
